What's Your Guitar's Story
Some musicians name their instruments. The more famous
guitars would be Eric Clapton’s “Blackie” and “Brownie”,
Stevie Ray Vaughn’s road worn “Number 1”, and of course
BB King’s “Lucille”.
Dobro players also have famous guitars such as Josh Graves’ “Julie”
that has a fantastic story to tell.
Josh purchased “Julie” in Johnstown, PA for $70 and later sold it to friend.
When his friend gave it back to Josh later, it was stolen in Syracuse, NY.
The amazing part of this story happened three years later.

These guitars have become as much an identity as the musician themselves.
When was the last time you saw a picture of BB King
without Lucille? Not likely I say.
I have a friend who’s trombone doesn’t have a name but
A great story of being rescued from a burning house!
Despite having occurred many years ago, it
Still has burn marks to this day!
